Drama and Mātauranga Māori Workshop-Meeting Recording

This presentation looks at the whakapapa that sits behind the kupu (words) in EN2 of 1.1 and 1.2 – manaakitanga and whanaungatanga. It presents an overall of the Māori world view and links to the mātāpono (values) that underpin these cultural concepts. The first part of the presentation provides an explanation of the creation story (one version of it), briefly explains tapu, noa, and mana before unpacking the etymology of the two key words.
